As it is true that it makes no sense to have 2 license codes for the same program. I also do understand that it would be reasonable to have it refunded as you have no use for it.
It's just that you have already claimed the license code for it though. As soon as the code was exposed, it basically considered sold and non-refundable. It could've been a different story if you haven't claimed the code for it.
As it says in the sales page, Unredeemed licenses can be returned for store credit within 30 days of purchase. Once your license is redeemed, all sales are final.
